brainstorming some things - i'm low-fi and tired this morning, everything's a sludge through which i am slowly swimming.

dave's suggested a collaboration - which i feel oddly open to, just the mention of it was bright and good .. and i've been thinking about it with some kind of latent excitement since then. poems or fiction from my end, illustration from his .. (dave, i almost hope that your accompaniment is abstract.)

latest inspirations have been

ballerinas, the ballet, most -especially- the line of a dancer, i love the shape of a ballerina, she has such a tall flexibility, like a standing stem.

actually, body itself. the angle of neck, or the jut of an arm.

also color - the brightness, the depth, or subtlety - as it applies to emotion, infinity, and context. context = the particular arc of life and experience, of balance and circumstance that brought a particular moment to life

the raw moment - the -most- raw moment - of despair, most often, attracts me - or desire, the rough of it, the plywood edge -

and the moment, the color, the line of the body intersecting with personal morality. what is wrong and right for a single person and all of those things in a long chalkboard mathematical equation with the result being choice.

easily poetry, but prose?

those sorts of things, i'm thinking about. i've given myself until next friday to have some drafts.
