i think it's amazing that the entire chinese government has this reaction when one of their little girls might have been raped by a soldier, but noone's stopped kenya's men from brutalizing women on a daily basis. and its on the front page of CNN! i know what you're thinking; maybe it's an education issue, maybe its rural tradition perpetuating the problem ..
slept so well yesterday during the day i lost the 6 hours between 9AM and 3PM. this is what utter exhaustion will do, i suppose ..
i have to tell you a story. my mother went to a place called 'pizza putt' with my daughter today - as you may have guessed, it's a pizza place/indoor golf thing. it's also an arcade like chuckie cheese, where you plug in your tokens to play games and you get tickets. they didn't come home until around 8PM yesterday .. i had turned out my lights and was listening to some music. my daughter tromped into the room and said ROR! .. do you remember those old plastic glow in the dark vampire teeth? she was wearing a pair of those she'd bought with her tickets and all i could see was her shadow and her greenglow grin, straight out of poltergeist. honestly scary! until tickled, when the teeth fell out with much drool and giggling ..
