so last thursday i went out and did some shredding. actually, a lot of shredding. i peered at pictures my daughter had made me, little handmade books .. now this may seem callous, but you just can't keep everything your child makes at school and at home. already, i have piles of things i feel are 'milestones' and i had to let go .. so .. i went to the bank to give them a special 'burial.' they have a nice, tall, safe-looking shredding bin which seemed a proper resting place.

while i was there stuffing precious stick figure drawings and paintings into the bin, i made a few phonecalls and finally got a nice person from the Newport Beach, CA judicial traffic court who assisted me to pay my 1.5k fine from 2006 .. by the end of the call i felt pretty assured that my CA license would be 'valid' again so that i could surrender it and finally get my VT license back. in short, folks, I ENDED THE VICIOUS PROCRASTINATION CYCLE AND FINALLY TOOK CARE OF IT.
